Star Television Network has launched its new bengali channel called “Star Ananda” today.
You can watch Star Ananda online with a live streaming rate of 138 kbps.
Star TV is organizing ‘Shera Bengali’ Awards 2009 so that they can grab more viewers initially. Awards will be given under different categories like art, films, music and composition, literature, corporate world, country news, sports and games and lifetime achievement award.
The award ceremony will start by the stunning and fabulous performance of famous people in Bollywood industry(Shreya Ghosal, Abhijit, Hiron and Rituparna Ghosh). The ceremony will start around 6:00 p.m.
In front of media and reporters Mr. Ashok Venkatramani, CEO, MCCS said,”We have dedicated ourselves to the recognition and felicitation of those personalities who have made Bengal proud and continue to do so. Shera Bangali is the truest effort in this direction to recognize those successful Bengalis who not only have excelled in their respective fields, but have also helped in putting Bengalis in the global arena”.
Star Ananda will telecast 24 hours international as well as national news in bengali language.
