Foreign Trade Policy:
Finally after a long time Indian Government is going to announce its new foreign trade policy 2010-2014 very soon.
According to media sources, Government is going to eliminate taxes and offer low rate bank credit to exporters who suffered a lot during the recession period.
The new policy will focus more on the labor intensive industries like textiles, leather, gems and jewellery.
CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee said,”It is a very realistic trade policy. I think new products (and) new countries have been best thought out. In a very innovative Foreign Trade Policy.”
Government is setting a target that India should achieve $200 billion worth exports for next fiscal year.
