Mahindra & Mahindra has launched its two new scooters (Mahindra Rodeo and the Mahindra Duro) in India Auto market.
Both the scooters are 125cc gearless range. Anand Mahindra, vice chairman and managing director of the Mahindra Group, said that the launch of the two scooters was as per the commitment which the auto major made last year on the group’s foray into the two-wheeler business.
Anoop Mathur, President of M&M’s two -wheeler division said that the two scooters have been developed with its own R&D with technological inputs from Taiwan’s Sanyang Industry Company Limited (SYM) and design expertise from the Italy-based Engines Engineering. Rodeo has been priced at Rs 41,299 while the Dura has been priced at Rs 38,299 both ex-showroom Pune.
Mathur said that with three scooters in its portfolio now M&M expects to sell 100,000 two-wheelers in the next 18 months. Both the scooters have been packed with new feaures like the Rodeo with 8.0 bhp of power, making it one of the most powerful scooters, along with telescopic suspension, while the Duro comes with the largest fuel tank in the scooter segment with the widest wheelbase.
