DELHI DAREDEVILS STOLE THE LIMELIGHT BY WINNING AGAINST WAYAMBA
In a match between the Group-D contenders of the CLT20, Delhi daredevils and wayamba eleven, The Delhi daredevils scored a 50 run victory against the wayamba team at Ferozshah kotla stadium on Sunday. After winning the toss the Delhi daredevils opted to bat. It was a euphoric evening for the audience as they enjoyed a lot by seeing a top class aggressive knock from Sehwag and Dinesh Karthik.
T.Dilshan who opened the innings with Sehwag in the place of skipper Gambhir, played some good cricket shots but failed to take off when he was dismissed by Welegedara. He was followed by Dinesh Karthik who joined with Sehwag and scored 77 runs for the third wicket. As the pitch was slow the Daredevils batsmen found it difficult in the first 5 overs as they scored just 32 runs of it.
Sehwag knocked a robust 66 runs off just 42 balls which had 10 fours and 1 six. Dinesh Karthik also played his part to the fullest by knocking 61 runs off just 41 balls. Daredevils scored 170 runs for 4 wickets loss in 20 overs.
Wayamba eleven who found the task difficult were struggling to score runs.the batting order crumbled soon except Mahela Jayawardane who gave a nice knock for his side by scoring 53 runs. They were wound up for 105 runs at the end of their innings.
