DROID ANDROID PHONE by Verizon and Motorola

Finally DROID the rumoured Android phone from Motorola and Verizon is real and it’s going to hit the market very soon. The DROID, Google’s Open Source Android based phone is Android’s flagship product and analysts are expecting it be the first phone to be a real threat to Apple’s iPhone.

DROID is the outcome of partnership between three giants, Google, Verizon and Motorola.  Google for it’s Android OS, Motorola for the phone in itself and Verizon for the network.

DROID is rumoured to have many advandages over iPhone. It is going to be slimmer than iPhone 3GS, going to have a similar but better look than iPhone and also going to have a slide out keypad. DROID will be powered by TI OMAP3430, the same core processor that powers Palm Pre and iPhone.
