Bharti makes Kohli head of global biz
Telecom major Bharti Airtel announced top level changes, Manoj Kohli will become the head of its International Business Group, deputy CEO Sanjay Kapoor will take the position of Kohli.
Both Kohli and Kapoor will directly report to CMD Sunil Mittal. Airtel had recently bid to acquire the controlling stake in South Africa’s telecoms giant MTN but could not succeed.
Bharti’s international business group is looking forward to and will be responsible for expanding the company’s operations beyond India and South Asian region.
Bharti’s International business group will take professionals from within the group areas, like Business Development, networks & IT, project and performance excellence, brand and customer experience. From April, Manoj Kohli will lead the group as a MD and CEO and will continue to be a member of board of Bharti Airtel.
