For the first time this fall, the Healthy Life Expo will feature Lauren Algyer, recently crowned Miss Minnesota’s Outstanding Teen, who has issued a challenge to yoga practitioners across the Twin Cities to form a “Super” yoga group at the Healthy Life Expo.
Algyer will lead the class, which she hopes will bring a thousand people to practice yoga at the Expo and set a record for the Twin Cities’ largest yoga class. The workout will kick-off at 12:00 Saturday, October 18, and gradually build in intensity. Bring a yoga mat to the Expo and receive free admission (normally $6 without a ticket or coupon). Free-will donations are being collected throughout the weekend to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network, a charity near and dear to Algyer’s heart that she represented during her year of service as Miss Minnesota’s Outstanding Teen. This fall she will compete for the national title of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen.
In addition, several Twin Cities yoga schools will also be present to teach or discuss various yoga topics every hour throughout the two-day Expo.
This year’s Home Improvement and Design Expo is bigger and better than ever with up to 200 exhibitors, showcasing the best builders, remodelers, designers, landscapers, retailers and other home improvement experts.
